The Latest Adventure: Hollyday Running – Palma’s First Concept Store for Runners

International travel is going to have to take a little pause, because The Runner’s Passport is detouring onto a different kind of journey: opening a specialty running store and community café in the heart of Palma de Mallorca.

Introducing Hollyday Running — a concept store designed to bring together everything I love most about running, travel, connection, and coffee.

A Home for Runners, Wherever You’re From

Yes, we’ll have shoes. Yes, we’ll carry the gear, gadgets, apparel, and sports nutrition you rely on to keep logging miles. But more than that, Hollyday Running is a space for anyone who identifies as a runner — or wants to — to walk in and feel instantly at home.

In a city like Palma — a world-renowned holiday destination and expat hotspot — the idea of “home” can feel elusive. Traveling or relocating can be exciting, but it can also leave you feeling a little lost. Throughout all of my big moves and travels, I’ve found that running has always had this incredible way of grounding me, of connecting me to the people and the environment around me, no matter where in the world I am. That’s the energy I want Hollyday Running to carry.

Like a Holiday… Every Day

But on the flip-side of that, I still want this place to feel like an escape. Like a hidden gem that you stumble upon within your hectic travels or busy day-to-day routine. The name “Hollyday” isn’t just a play on my own name — it’s a nod to the spirit of the island. Palma de Mallorca is paradise, but it’s easy to get caught up in a jam-packed travel itinerary or every-day life’s demands for those of us that live here, and lose sight of just how magical this place is. Our goal at Hollyday Running is to reignite the joy of everyday adventure, and help you to continue discovering the fun in your running routine.

Building Something Together — Renovation Updates!

We’ve officially secured our space! Located at Carrer Sant Eperit 7 — We’re currently in the exciting (and slightly messy) phase of bringing the vision to life. The renovation of our space in central Palma is officially underway — think earthy island colors, warm natural wood, and Mediterranean textures throughout. We’re working closely with local artisans and designers — several of whom are already part of our running community — to create a layout that blends functionality with community: a café, retail store, and shared gathering space all in one.

Expect open shelves stocked with your favorite running brands, cozy corners for coworking, a coffee bar that fuels post-run hangs, and lockers so you can drop in for a quick run during the workday. It’s a labor of love, and we can’t wait to share the before-and-after moments with you soon. Here’s a sneak peak of the transformation:

Expect more post-run yoga events

We’ll have the gear, sure — and we’ll only partner with brands that we as runners truly believe in and believe can help you become a better runner or lead you to explore new places via your Hollyday Running purchased shoes — but what’s more is the connections and community you feel when you lace up those shoes. When you enter the store and the owners great you by name and know your post-run coffee and croissant order by heart. A place where the highlight of your weekend is meeting your friends or connecting with new like-minded individuals over a social run. 

Not a runner (yet)? No problem. You’re welcome here, too. Come for the coffee and coworking space. Stay for the wellness workshops led by local fitness instructors and yoga teachers, physiotherapists, and sports nutritionists. Join us for networking nights with fellow creatives and digital nomads. Or escape with us into the mountains on one of our guided trail running adventures to explore the island’s breathtaking terrain.

Training Plans, Group Runs & Race Season Ready

Training for a race? We’ve got you covered with personalized training plans, whether you’re chasing a new PR or just building consistency. And because everything is better with friends, our Hollyday Runs will be expanding — Sunday social runs, new distances, pace groups, and training blocks leading up to events like the Palma Marathon this October.

We’re proud to be part of a growing network of running groups on the island — If you haven’t noticed, the running scene in town has absolutely exploded this past year. We’re here to connect you with whichever group fits your rhythm best. Show up consistently to Hollyday Running Partnered events and earn loyalty points — a stamp in your “Runner’s Passport” — to redeem in-store or at the café. Just a little something to celebrate your effort.

It’s a lot. But it’s happening — and it’s only possible thanks to the amazing community already rallying behind us.
